The proprietor and director of the college Chief (Barr.) Ezaegu B.O is a lover of education and sports and a philanthropist of Izzi extraction. He named the college after late sister Mary Aloysius a foreign catholic reverend sister based in Great Britain. She was a humanitarian and touched the life of many, including that of the director, Chief (Barr.) Ezaegu B.O, whom she assisted immensely in secondary education without knowing him in person. As the saying goes “one good turn deserves another”, the director, to show gratitude for the sisters kindness towards him during his school days, named the college after her to immortalize her name.
